Vintage Harley Davidson T Shirt|South Carolina|1980s

I have bought and sold a lot of vintage t shirts in my time as an eBay seller. This particular vintage Harley Davidson shirt was purchased as part of a much larger lot that was collected by a lady biker who lives not too far from me. She was quite proud of the fact that she had enough Harley shirts to wear one every day and never repeat for two months! Although most of the other ones have been sold, I somehow missed listing this one. Here are the particulars for this shirt:

Vintage Harley Davidson T Shirt

This vintage Harley Davidson T shirt is from Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and has the year 1986 on the back. It is marked as a large (42-44) but the measurements look more like a medium. It is in good shape. Please check the actual measurements against an item that you know fits. Older vintage items are sometimes sized differently than what you might be used to today.

The actual measurements are:

Front collar to bottom = 23.5 inches

Back collar to bottom = 26 inches

Pit to pit = 18 inches

Harley Davidson T Shirts are quite a popular collectible item. Their value of course depends on the demand and scarcity of the item. Sometimes shirts from particular biker events draw a lot of interest. Of the earlier shirts I listed, I noticed that shirts with the names of smaller towns seemed to draw a lot of interest, as did anything I had from the Sturgis Biker Rallies. Other Bike Week shirts did not do quite as well when it came to people watching and bidding. It is hard to predict what will catch on.
